UPDATE, Oct. 3: Campaign releases an anniversary video
As President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama marked their twentieth wedding anniversary on Wednesday, they took to Twitter to exchange personal romantic greetings. Thanks to tonight's Presidential Debate, they will belatedly celebrate their landmark anniversary this Saturday, according to the President. The Obama campaign is running an anniversary card/donation campaign, and posted the wedding photo, above, to the President's Twitter account, writing "Twenty years together" with a link to sign the card, which leads to a donation page. Mrs. Obama will be in Denver to cheer her husband on during the Debate. Her appearance on Steve Harvey's self-monikered talk show, filmed last week in Chicago, also airs today, and Mrs. Obama will be discussing her marriage to to Mr. Obama. Their relationship has become a theme in her campaign speeches; the First Lady says that she fell in love with her spouse for his "character."
