Vice President Biden, Mayor Bloomberg Talk Gun Control Over Dinner At DC's Cafe Milano

#NowIsTheTime meets #DemandAPlan over pasta...
Vice President Joe Biden and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg dined at Georgetown's Cafe Milano on Friday night, for an intimate evening of discussing gun control over pasta.  The Veep is the point man for President Obama's gun control push, and he and Bloomberg were joined for dinner by Dr. Jill Biden and Bloomberg's longtime girlfriend Diana Taylor, as well as "a hefty phalanx of security," reported Washington Post.

"I’m going to spend some time with Biden get a better update" on the Administration's gun control plans, Bloomberg told Politico earlier on Friday.  He is a longtime, outspoken gun control activist, and has renewed his efforts following the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Ahead of his dinner with Bloomberg, Biden traveled to Richmond, VA on Friday for a roundtable discussion on gun violence with Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius, Deputy U.S. Attorney General Jim Cole, Sen. Tim Kaine, Rep. Bobby Scott and gun control experts.

On Thursday, the Vice President hosted a Google+ "fireside chat" on gun control, which the Administration is pushing on Twitter with #NowIsTheTime.  Bloomberg is pushing his gun control efforts with #DemandAPlan.

President Obama escorted First Lady Michelle Obama to Cafe Milano to celebrate her 49th birthday on Jan. 17th.
