The Obama Family Inauguration Portrait

A new photo from the President's private swearing-in ceremony...
The White House on Tuesday released the new photo above from President Obama's private swearing-in ceremony as he took the Oath of Office for his second term on Jan. 20 in the Blue Room.  The twelve guests included ten members of the extended First Family, including the President's two adult half-sisters and First Lady Obama's mother, Mrs. Marian Robinson and brother Craig Robinson, and nieces and nephews from both sides of the family.  (Click photo to enlarge)

Pictured in the photo above from left are Craig Robinson and his children Leslie and Avery; Mrs. Robinson; the First family; the President's niece Akinyi Manners and her mother, the President's half-sister Auma Obama; the President's half-sister Maya Soetoro-Ng and her husband Konrad Ng and their daughters, Savita and Suhaila.

Other guests on hand to witness the President take the Oath of Office at the 11:55 AM closed-press ceremony were Eleanor "Mama Kaye" Wilson, Godmother to the Obama daughters, and her husband Wellington Wilson.

The White House also released another new photo from the ceremony, above, showing the President kissing his wife after he'd taken the Oath of Office, administered by Supreme Court Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr.

As the President turned to kiss Mrs. Obama, he was overheard saying "Thank you, sweetie." He then hugged his daughters.

"Good job, daddy," said daughter Sasha, 11. "I did it,” the President responded.

"You didn’t mess up," Sasha said back to her father, referencing the flub from the 2009 swearing-in ceremony.
